Wife of Johnny Gaudreau posts heart-wrenching tribute to late husband on 3-year wedding anniversary

It's been nearly a week since the hockey world lost both Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau to a tragic accident that happened in New Jersey and while fans are feeling the sadness and outrage; it's unimaginable to his family, including his wife.
Meredith Gaudreau posted on Wednesday a very heartbreaking and touching post on Instagram regarding her late husband, as September 4th, 2024 was to be their 3-year wedding anniversary.
The circumstances surrounding the tragedy are infuriating. The brothers were killed when Sean Higgins, driving under the influence, tried to pass idling vehicles and struck the brothers. He admitted to police he had been drinking, allegedly had open alcohol containers in his vehicle, and also was charged with a DUI back in 2005. Higgins also acted remorseless in court and doesn't seem to grasp the extent of his actions. The Gaudreau brothers were meant to serve as groomsmen for his sister Katie's wedding; just another heartbreaking addition to this tragedy.
