Last week, Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau were tragically killed in a cycling accident caused by driver Sean Higgins while under the influence of alcohol.

He appeared to be remorseless and apathetic when in court last week, even letting out an exasperated sign when told he would need to stay in prison longer.
TMZ reports that today, September 5th was the date Higgins was set to speak with the judge presiding over his case, and within a blink of an eye the hearing was over and the judge postponed the hearing.
"The judge had been expected to make a ruling on Higgins' pretrial conditions at the hearing ... but the proceedings were postponed after just a few seconds.

Higgins is now slated to remain behind bars until his next meeting with the judge on Sept. 13."
It's unknown why the judge immediately put the kibosh to the hearing, deciding instead to rightfully keep Higgins behind bars for another week until he gathers all the information needed to prosecute Higgins to the fullest extent of the law.
We will update you with more details as this situation develops.
