Unfortunate news has struck Don Cherry and family as it was revealed that his daughter Cynthia passed away on July 15th, she was only 67 years of age.

Per former reporter Simon Dingley, Cynthia Cherry passed away suddenly while being tended to at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga.
Dingley reposted the obituary for Cherry; it reads:
"Cynthia Margaret 'Cindy' Cherry passed away unexpectedly at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the age of 67.

She was dearly loved by her son Del (Caroline Lyczek), and his father Roger. Cindy was the loved daughter of Don and the late Rose and dear sister of Tim (Ling), and aunt of Grace.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., (Hwy. 10, N of the QEW) on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2-6 PM. There is also a private family Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston.

In Cindy's memory, donations may be made to Don Cherry's Pet Rescue Foundation."

Cindy as she was most known by, was one of the driving forces and support behind her father's brand, while patriarch Don, 90, is still around in the industry with his Grapevine podcast, which started in 2019. He still gives his hard-nosed thoughts and opinions though this time we cannot see him in such elaborate outfits; often the highlight of Hockey Night in Canada.
We here at Maple Leafs Latest offer our sincere condolences and best wishes to the Cherry family during this difficult time.
