When Sean Monahan signed in Columbus, he had one goal in mind: recreate his chemistry with Johnny Gaudreau. After the latter's tragic passing, a recent clip is even more heartbreaking.
Gaudreau and his brother Matthew were killed by a drunk driver in New Jersey on Thursday night, and copious amounts of fans have left tributes in honour of Gaudreau; most notably lots of purple Gatorade.
But a recent clip has surfaced where Sean Monahan gave his thoughts about what he looks forward to in terms of this season with Gaudreau; which makes the untimely passing so tragic.
It's truly heartbreaking that these two never had the chance to rekindle their chemistry, but one thing is for certain: their friendship lasts forever.
