Over the past couple of seasons, Cousins has spent his time in South Florida where he had won the Stanley Cup this year with the Florida Panthers. Senators general manager and president of hockey operations Steve Staios explains why he chose to bring him into the organization.
Cousins was drafted in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, third round, 68 overall. Last season he had played 69 games, scoring seven goals with eight assists and 15 points while having 64 penalty minutes.
