If you're looking to qualify for the Olympics, having a roster with some NHL name value certainly helps, and for Team Denmark it has to feel like a breath of fresh air.

Former Maple Leafs and current netminder Frederik Andersen will take charge between the pipes for the Danes, with fellow NHL regulars such as Nikolaj Ehlers, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Lars Eller and Jonas Rondbjerg. They will face off in a grouping against the likes of Germany, Great Britain and Japan in order to solidify their spot in the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
Some other notable Danish players include the Seattle Kraken's Oscar Fisker Molgaard, and international mainstay Nicklas Jensen.
The Danish team has only qualified once in their history for the Games, coming in 2022 where they finished 7th and bowed out early on. No doubt Denmark looks to be the strongest team in their pool with Germany a close second; some of the other countries involved vying for their spot are Hungary, Latvia, France, Kazakhstan, and Slovakia amongst other nations.
If Denmark is able to reach the Olympics, they will have a tough task ahead of them with the likes of Canada, Sweden and the United States odds on favourites to wear gold.
