32 Thoughts host Jeff Marek was allegedly fired from his podcast and analyst duties stemming from a potential incident at the 2024 draft.

In a surprising turn of events, 32 Thoughts podcast co-host Jeff Marek has supposedly been fired from not only the podcast but from all of his official Sportsnet duties.
This information comes to us from Jonah (X: @yyzsportsmedia) who reports that although the concrete details are not set in stone, many sources close to the situation state that this firing is for a non-specific reason or reasons stemming from an incident at the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
In the meantime, there has been silence on both ends of the spectrum. Marek has not posted online since June 28th, nearly a month ago, and his shows 32 Thoughts and The Jeff Marek Show have not aired an episode since July 3rd. Sportsnet has also given no indication or information regarding this as well.
We will continue to follow this story and update you with new information as we learn of it.
Marek started his career in 2003 hosting Live Audio Wrestling before transitioning into Maple Leafs telecasts and eventually settling into a solo hosting role on Leafs Lunch. In 2007 Marek took on a position at Hockey Night in Canada and called Judo for the 2008 Olympics working for CBC.
