TSN host gives his thoughts on 3 FA's the Maple Leafs could attempt to sign for depth at LW.

It seems that some are in agreement with Friedman, as TSN 1050's First Up show, host Aaron Korolnek explained a few options the Leafs could pursue in order to fill the hole left from Tyler Bertuzzi, at least partially.

We recently wrote about both Van Riemsdyk and Pacioretty but one intriguing option would be the polarizing Cousins.

The connection is there, as two of his former teammates left the sunny confines of Florida for the 416 and could persuade the gritty winger to give the Blue and White a chance. Cousins often draws the ire of opposing teams due to his ability to get under their skin, utilize less than reputable tactics, but also contribute on the scoresheet a bit as well on the bottom-6. He would fit suitably with Max Domi and Pontus Holmberg, and could also see some penalty kill time due to his tenacity on the ice.

Coming off a Stanley Cup, and seeing the level of talent and potential in the Maple Leafs; perhaps Cousins will realize his usefulness and provide the Leafs with another veteran with playoff success in the hopes of finally getting to the Cup for the first time in 56 years.
