Brandon Lisowsky, a draft pick of the Maple Leafs in 2022, shared some insight into his future with the club, and it's a big step forward for the youngster.

Using their last pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft on Lisowsky, many believed the winger would have been lost in the shuffle in the NHL, and Toronto decided not to take a risk on him and didn't sign him to an ELC. Although the winger never signed with the club, it seems like the interest is still there according to Lisowsky:
"I'm going back to Toronto again for rookie camp. I'll leave in the next week, week and a half... Obviously Toronto is still interested without the contract stuff, but they are obviously still interested in seeing how this year goes and hopefully after this year it goes well with them again."
Coming off an 80-point season with the Saskatoon Blades, a team where he has put up a blistering 121 goals and 105 assists in 227 games over the past 5 seasons is certainly a good reason to take a look at the winger. He doesn't fit the current mindset Toronto is looking for but could become a big player down the line, especially if he keeps his torrid scoring pace up.
All in all though, it looks like Lisowsky is just happy to be getting back on the ice.
