In a stunning display of dedication to not only his craft, but to charity, a Swedish rollerblader recently raised over $50k for Börje Salming's ALS Foundation in a long-distance fundraiser.
Oliver Eriksson took on the task of doing something remarkable, all in the name of doing good for the world. He embarked on a 2100km (1300 mile) marathon from Kiruna to Ystad (essentially travelling from Northern Sweden to the southern border with Denmark) and raised a considerable amount through his tireless trip.
Salming, who unfortunately lost his life to ALS in 2022 played in 1,148 games in his career, scoring 787 points; 768 of those coming with the Leafs over 16 seasons before he finished his career in Detroit.
