It's been 56 years since the Toronto Maple Leafs have hoisted the Stanley Cup, but some crazy facts have just been unveiled regarding the Maple Leafs playoff history.

Steve Dangle has made a name for himself in the sports media industry, starting out as a humble YouTuber before eventually launching his own network and bringing his fandom to a medium that often toes the line with biases. Never one to shy away from his love of the Maple Leafs, he's always there to praise or criticize; whatever the situation calls for.
During an episode of the Steve Dangle Podcast, his fellow co-host and friend Jesse Blake dropped a bombshell tidbit of knowledge regarding the Maple Leafs: They've never won three rounds in the playoffs.

While the game certainly has changed since the four team bracket way back in the late 60's, it's surprising that with the teams Toronto has fielded over the years they never got past a 3rd Round. With the likes of Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark, Mats Sundin, Gary Roberts, Curtis Joseph, and many, many others; the fact Toronto has been such a failure feels like a curse.
With a new head coach, a better mindset and ideology with their defensive structure, trying to ensure they have consistent and dependable goaltending, and a new captain; maybe in the 57th year since they won the Cup...they'll raise 'er up again.
