It seems the league has gone with theme of low travel and Atlantic division rivals who will face off against the Maple Leafs in six preseason games. This preseason has been lowered to six games rather than eight which will give the players and the coaching staff more time together as they work towards finalizing their rosters and preparing for game one of the new season.
With training camps set to open in mid-September, new Leafs coach Craig Berube along with his staff will have a chance to look at Leafs prospects including Fraser Minten, Ben Danford and Easton Cowan to see where they are in their development.
