McMann has always been known to be scorer in his pro career but finally settled into his own last year with the Leafs; anchoring the 2nd line alongside captain John Tavares and William Nylander. Playing alongside such talent and leadership can only lead to good things and for McMann, he seems to have found his stride.
McMann will look to fill the void left by various departures over the offseason, and with a consistent start to the season, could very well find himself on the ice more often and in more crucial situations. He's the type of player new head coach Craig Berube likes to employ; big, strong, gritty but also able to maximize their offensive weapons when needed.
