After being named the 32nd captain in team history, Maple Leafs prospect Noah Chadwick was very gracious and excited for his new role on the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
It was reported yesterday that Chadwick was named the new captain of the Lethbridge Hurricanes, and he accepted this honour with grace and humility.
"I'm super honored and it's a privilege to be named the captain of the Hurricanes and it's something that I'm not going to take lightly. To be able to take over from a great captain in Joe [Arntsen] is an honor," Chadwick explained. "I bring a lot of different aspects to the role than him, but he's a fantastic leader and he helped shape me and he showed what it means to be the captain."
Chadwick has risen the ranks of the junior circuit and recently signed a deal with the Maple Leafs; not bad for a 6th Round pick. He will look to lead the Hurricanes to the upper echelon of the WHL and if he can build off his breakout season, could find himself in the AHL sooner than later. He registered 12 goals and 44 assists for the Hurricanes last season in 66 games; a huge leap from the 20 points he scored the previous year.
