Chadwick, drafted 185th overall in 2023, enjoyed a fantastic season last year for the Hurricanes; scoring 12 goals while adding 44 assists and playing shutdown defense as well. His transition game is elite, and he ranks as one of, if not the best offensive defenseman in the CHL.
A 6th round pick is typically found toiling in the minors for a few years, maybe they play a handful of games or head to Europe; but in the case of Chadwick, he's making a strong case for the Maple Leafs to take a long look at him at every opportunity.
