"Sidney Crosby. I grew up 5 minutes from him. I watched him growing up, so I take the little things that he does. He plays the game so detailed, so whatever he does out there, I try to mimic. He is Nova Scotia," Quillan disclosed in a heartfelt nod to his idol during an interview with TSN's Mark Masters.

The immediate future holds a challenge for Quillan as he aims to secure a spot on the Maple Leafs' fourth line in the upcoming training camp. Initially likely to join the Marlies, Toronto's AHL affiliate, he will have the opportunity to hone his skills further, especially in two-way play and defensive responsibilities.
