The veteran, now 41 years old had a bit of a down year last year with Toronto and has yet to latch onto a club for 2024-25. But speaking with with Toronto Star; Rich Winter, Giordano's agent gave insight into what he plans on doing for his career:
While not the shutdown yet offensive presence that was the key to his iconic status in Calgary; he believes that clearly his IQ and veteran leadership could be a key to a team's success however with how the game has shaped up in recent years, being a few steps behind physically is not feasible to a 200-foot game.
It remains to be seen if Giordano can find an interested party before the season starts, or if he'll have to wait until a team is desperate enough to pick the free agent pool; if all else fails, he can sign for a playoff team towards the end of the year and provide depth and a veteran mindset.
