Former NHL coach Bruce Boudreau gave the Toronto Maple Leafs the best grade for offseason moves in the Atlantic Division while on an interview with NHL Networks.
Boudreau feels that the Maple Leafs are far better with the additions of defensemen Chris Tanev and Oliver Ekman Larsson and goaltender Anthony Stolarz who will complement the offensive power that the Leafs hold in their roster.
He also thinks the team has better balance and with the addition of Craig Berube behind the bench who is a defensive coach, he feels the team could move past the first round.
It's been a turbulent offseason for the Maple Leafs as in their season ending press conference with the introduction of CEO of MLSE Keith Pelley Stating that winning is all that matters. Many fans felt the team was going to make significant change to the roster especially to their Core 4 to give the team a different look.

The team does look different, but it appears management has gone about doing this a different way as their hands are tied with the Core 4 contracts till the end of this upcoming season.
Only time will tell whether these decisions were the right ones as training camp is set to open by mid-September.
