The anticipation has been building among NHL fans and particularly those of the Toronto Maple Leafs, centered on William Nylander's status for Game 3.

The uncertainty has finally been clarified.
TSN's Mark Masters reports that Nylander was absent from the pre-game warmups before Game 3, marking his third consecutive absence this series.
As a pivotal player for the Maple Leafs, Nylander's presence is crucial. His scoring ability, evidenced by his 98 points, significantly enhances the team's performance, particularly in critical matchups like tonight's game with the series knotted up at 1-1. His absence is felt more profoundly as the series progresses.
It's reported that Nylander may have suffered a head injury during the season's 82nd game in a 6-4 defeat to the Tampa Bay Lightning, leading to his missed appearances in both Game 1 and Game 2.
There is some discussion over whether the injury sustained by Nylander is a concussion. With no confirmation on that, we can only await additional information in the coming days.
Nylander's next opportunity to play will be Saturday's Game 4, giving him a few additional days of rest.
