Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand took the word embellishment to a whole new level on Monday in Game 2 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Maple Leafs came out to play for Game 2 in Boston on Monday, but if Brad Marchand had his way, the Bruins would have come back and tied the game on the power play after an embarrassing dive resulted in a penalty against the Leafs.
The Leafs were up 3-2 in the third period of last night's game, and Charlie Coyle and Ilya Lyubushkin were tied up after the whistle, with Lyubushkin ready for a fight.
When Brad Marchand attempted to get involved, Tyler Bertuzzi took a whack at Marchand's back leg, sending him down to the ice in apparent agony.
The slash hit him on the back of his right leg, but when he fell, he clutched his left knee, which caught the eye of at least one viewer.
We all know Marchand is a nuisance and a troublemaker, but we can also add diver to the list now.
Many NHL fanbases refer to Marchand as "The Rat" for a reason. He always finds ways to under his opponents' skin on the ice and cause trouble. We know that he can dish it out, but he clearly can't take it.
The Leafs were able to kill off the Bertuzzi slashing call and, thankfully, were able to hang on to win the game.
We can anticipate more of Marchand's antics throughout the series because this one is far from over.
