Alex Nylander's former coach, J.D. Forrest, heaped praise on the younger Nylander, speaking about his time with Scranton Wilkes-Barre. In an interview with Toronto Sun's Lance Hornby, Forrest had nothing but positive things to say about Nylander during his tenure.
While there is no doubt that Nylander has the talent to have success offensively at the NHL level, his complete game needs some retooling and Leafs faithful are hopeful their beloved Marlies are the answer to unlocking the full potential of Nylander.
