Alex Ovechkin may be one of the best pure goal scorers who ever lived, but as fate would have it, he's also one of the NHL's better hitters as well. Leafs defenseman Conor Timmins found that out the hard way on Saturday night.
During the second period, Timmins made a play on the puck while being lined up by Ovechkin in front of the Capitals' bench. Unfortunately for Timmins, there wasn't enough time to get out of the way, so he did his best to brace for a hit and ultimately ended up in the Washington bench.
