Aside from maybe the Colorado Avalanche, I don't think any team has had an injury list quite as length as the Toronto Maple Leafs. We can add one more to the list for the Leafs as forward Michael Bunting was hit in the face with a puck during practice, left the ice bleeding and did not return.
The Leafs have a big game coming up on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning and with Nick Robertson out, Denis Malgin being traded and Calle Jarnkrok only in his first practice back, if Bunting can't go, we could see newcomer Dryden Hunt or veteran Wayne Simmonds draw in.
However, if Sheldon Keefe's comments following practice are any indication, Bunting should be okay to go for Tuesday's game against the Bolts.
The Scarborough, ON native is enjoying another productive season with the Leafs, having already notched 22 points in 32 games this season.
