New details emerge in the tragic passing of NHLer Johnny Gaudreau and his brother

As the hockey world mourns the passing of Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau at 31, new details have emerged regarding the incident.

According to ABC 6 WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, Gaudreau and his brother were cycling together when an alleged drunk driver tried to pass around two cars he was stuck behind; and in doing so ended up fatally striking the brothers.
Tragically, Matthew leaves behind his wife Madeline, meanwhile Johnny leaves behind his wife Meredith and two children Noa and Johnny Jr.

Johnny Gaudreau of the Columbus Blue Jackets has died at the age of 31
The crash occurred around 8:30pm in Oldsman Township in New Jersey, and the next day the Gaudreau brothers were scheduled to be groomsmen for their sister's wedding.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman also released a statement through the NHL Public Relations team:
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gaudreau family during this difficult time.
