The hockey world was stunned as it learned the passing of 31-year old Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew on Thursday night.
Reports circulated online regarding the validity of the passing, as several people were immediately calling local authorities to see what was going on.

Gaudreau enjoyed a successful NHL career including a year where he scored 40 goals and 75 assists for the Calgary Flames and finished with 243 goals and 500 assists in 763 NHL games.
